Joining Session 2023
Welcome applicants,
Firstly thank you for your interest in joining our Bochila Open Air Scout Group as a member. We are looking forward to having you on board. Before we get started with the joining procedure we would like to give you some information about Scouting.
There are so many things to know about scouting. It's not possible to give you all the information at once. But we tried to give you some basic information about scouting around the world and scouting in Bangladesh. Also, what are the benefits of scouting and joining the Air Scouts to be specific. If you already visited the link above about scouting then you have some idea about our scouting and Air Scouting. Now, we have some procedures to follow regarding your joining our group. There are some instructions given below for you to follow. Follow the steps and you will have all the information you need.
*** For now, we are recruiting both Rover and Scouts. Follow the instructions accordingly.
Instructions for Rover Section only
- Applicants have to fill up a form.
- All the information in the form has to be valid.
- Applicant must believe in his own religion.
- Meet the age requirements (16 to 22).
- Understand and agree to live by the Scout Oath, Scout Law, and Motto.
- Applicants have to be a student of any college/university inside Dhaka.
- Selected Applicants have to qualify on a written and Viva Exam.
- Candidate must be physically fit.
- Candidate must be willing to attend crew meetings every Friday.
- Height must be 5ft 4inch for boys.
Instructions for Scout Section only
- Applicants have to fill up a form.
- All the information in the form has to be valid.
- Applicant must believe in his own religion.
- Meet the age requirements (11 to 16).
- Understand and agree to live by the Scout Oath, Scout Law, and Motto.
- Applicants have to be a student of any School inside Dhaka.
- Selected Applicants have to qualify on a written and Viva Exam.
- Candidate must be physically fit.
- Candidate must be willing to attend troop meetings every Friday.
** Preference will be given to candidates who are skilled in cultural subjects (singing, dancing, reciting, acting), musical instruments, graphic design, and video editing. Those who have previous scouting experience will be given special opportunities.
Instruction for written exam
- Written Test Content: General knowledge, IQ, English, General science.
- The written test of the recruitment will be held on a scheduled date(notified later).
- Written exam will be a 15 min and 20-mark exam.
- It will be a simple MCQ exam.
- We will provide a google form link before the exam.
- Applicants must join a zoom meeting and complete the exam while connected.
- All applicants must join the zoom meeting 15 min early from the exam time.
- No one will be allowed to join the meeting after due time.
- Those who will not join in the meeting but submit the answer will be considered rejected.
- There will be no extension of time.
- After submitting the answer, applicants must make sure that their answer script is submitted successfully by asking the host of the meeting.
Instruction for Viva exam_
- Those who will successfully pass the written exam have to sit on a viva exam either online or face to face.
- Time and place will be notified accordingly.
- Either online or face-to-face dress code must be followed by everyone.
- Viva dress code for male applicants: shirt/polo shirt, full Jeans pants, and shoes (T-shirt and sandals will not be allowed).
- Viva dress code for female applicants: Salwar kameez ( If anyone wants to wear Abaya and Hijab that will also be acceptable).
